Veteran Myron Laniyo of B-n-S is the new scoring leader in the ongoing 2005 World Organized Rocball High School League after three rounds of play.

Laniyo, whose B-n-S squad is currently in a two-way tie for third place with a 2-1 win-loss card, ranked among the scoring leaders after the first two rounds but took the leadership after scoring 14 points in a loss to Ochobu last week and has a total of 38 points on nine aces, two xunks, and eight kees.

Laniyo scored just enough to take a one-point lead over Darrel Roligat of Mwaliyas, who still remains as a scoring threat after putting up 37 points on six aces, five kees, and a league-best five goals.

Ochobu’s Ichinis Kapwich is third in scoring with 29 points courtesy of five aces, a xunk, seven kees, and a goal, while Tito Francisco of the Lagooners follows with 28 points on 10 aces, a kee, and two goals.

Francisco is tied for the league lead in aces with Malat’s Darrel Moteisou, who also has a xunk, a kee, and a goal for 27 points.

Dior Jones of Black Magic also ranks among league leaders with eight aces, two kees, and a goal for 23 points, while Dennis Camacho of Just For Fun follows with 21 points after connecting for three aces, a xunk, five kees, and a goal.

For his part, Matthew Iguel leads Caropinos with 16 points on three aces, two kees, and two goals.

Other leaders include Mwaliyas’ Shane Yamada with one jam, Lagooners’ Gary Philips with five xunks, and Mwaliyas’ Pedro Iguel with nine kees.

Meanwhile, Mwaliyas still sits on top of the team standings with a 3-0 record, while the Lagooners defeated Black Magic, 56-39, on Thursday to sit alone in second place with a 3-1 record.

B-n-S and Ochobu both sport 2-1 records, while Black Magic follows with a 2-2 card. Malat is next with a 1-2 record while Just for Fun and Caropinos have 0-3 records.

Action in the fourth round continues tomorrow with Malat and Ochobu going head to head.
