A new voyage ahead
It has been said that a true leader must first fail, struggle and then restore. Majority of the people in the CNMI think it is easy to brainstorm any agenda that are pending before it and the coming future but after bearing in mind what I have seen on the Saipan Tribune website, on its updates of the tabulations, the time has come to say my piece.
To the people of the CNMI, I am not writing this to argue with anyone. Rather, I am writing to remind all of you to keep in mind that we will all start a new voyage, interval, or whatever you want to call it, because we were not precise in our choice for the gubernatorial and lieutenant gubernatorial seat. Believing that there is always that one right candidate for office, we all have different respectful reasons as to why each person should be voted for a certain seat but that does not mean that just because you are my brother, sister, cousin, or friend(s) that I should vote for you. We as locals on Rota must think ahead. Not for us but for those who are below us (your children if you are a parent(s) and theirs after that). Do not be discouraged about who our new senatorial, House, mayor or council leaders will be. I salute all highly voted candidates and may you serve our island of Rota the best. And to the people of Rota who has stuck to the Republican side, don’t shed any tears. Our only hope is to still have a future for our children and enough to make ends meet.
