Two masked men armed with a rifle and machete robbed a poker arcade in Susupe early Tuesday morning.

No shot was fired and no one was injured but the suspects managed to run off with over $300 cash from JL Poker II, police said yesterday.

A surveillance camera showed that the crime happened in less than four minutes, according to police.

Police officer Jason Tarkong said investigation showed that two men wearing black masks entered JL Poker II beside Family Market around 4am.

One suspect, wearing green Army fatigues, pointed a rifle at the security guard. The second suspect, dressed in desert combat uniform, was armed with a machete and tried to open the cashier’s door, which was locked.

The first suspect pointed the gun at the cashier through the cashier’s window booth, prompting the cashier to throw cash out of the window and onto the floor.

The second suspect picked up the money then fled on foot with the other suspect.

Tarkong said the Department of Public Safety and NMI Crime Stoppers Program are seeking help from the public for information about the suspects.

“Please contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 234-7272 should you want to remain anonymous, or use our website at www.nmicrimestoppers.com. Crime Stoppers pays up to $1,000 for any information leading to an arrest. It pays to call,” said Tarkong, who is also the Crime Stoppers coordinator.

Last Aug. 29, a man armed with a knife tied a 56-year-old male cashier and robbed Capitol Poker in Sadog Tasi around 9am.

A surveillance camera captured the broad daylight robbery. The establishment’s owner showed the footage to investigators.

KSPN2 ran the footage of the robber, resulting in the arrest of the suspect after a few days.
