WWII live ordnance to be detonated on Rota on Oct. 29
The Department of Public Safety with the coordination of Emergency Management Office, Office of the Governor and in conjunction with COMNAVMAR Guam would like to inform the general public that the U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Detachment Team from Guam will detonate World War II Live Ordnance on Rota on Oct. 29 from 1pm to 2pm.
The general location of this activity will be on As Matmos Cliff with Latitude 14 degrees 11.7 minutes North and Longitude 145 degrees 16.6 minutes East and 5,000 feet above seas level on all quadrants.
Due to the danger imposed by this activity, Gov. Juan N. Babauta is advising the general public especially commercial pilots, tour operators, residents, and fishermen to stay at least one mile away from the area during the time and date indicated.
