Fair aims to deglamorize alcohol

SANTA RITA, Guam—The U.S. Naval Forces Marianas and USS Frank Cable will be hosting a Right Spirit Fair Oct. 21 starting at 9am at Polaris Point.

The event is being held to promote the Navy’s Right Spirit Campaign, which aims to enhance fleet readiness by the reduction of alcohol abuse and related incidents while fostering a safe and productive work environment.

The fair will feature several competitions and games, such as a two-mile run, horseshoes, volleyball, sumo wrestling, bouncy boxer, and gladiator challenge as well as tricycle and basketball free throw contests.

Various lectures will be held throughout the day as well as booths with information pamphlets will be set up to provide participants options to sustain a healthy lifestyle through physical fitness and nutrition.
