Ridiculous reaction
It seems Little David has bumped off the odd couple (Gov. Juan N. Babauta and Ms. Seddy Demesa) from their comfort zone. But then a must on transparency leaves such business relationship wide open for public scrutiny.
Ms. Demesa ought to be reminded that she owns Pacific Times and P Magazine. A week or so ago, the magazine featured Speaker Benigno R. Fitial’s oldest brother as bolting from the Covenant Party. This fully orchestrated lie is filth in absolute form! Your publication started the “pot calling the kettle black” warfare. Next time, make sure that your brain is in gear before engaging the mouth. It’s that simple! With revenues of over $224 million from your PleasantCare business in Las Vegas and California—more than the CNMI’s annual budget—you still claim you’re not a business tycoon!
You pay a staff on your two publications that runs the editorial departments while you take care of the business end of the publication. Why pay a huge amount for a newspaper and magazine focusing on the NMI? Ms. Demesa, your nervous reaction did nothing but confirm suspicions! Why deny the obvious?
Your partner, Babauta, has hired guns doing political spin on the economy and opponents. Well, one would have to be blind, mute and deaf to even chance declaring that the economy is “pretty darn good.” As you’ve aptly put it, this is “stooping too low.”
