The Attorney General’s Office on Friday filed with the Superior Court criminal charges against the man who exposed his genitals to a female nurse at the Commonwealth Health Center recently.

Acting chief prosecutor Jeffrey Warfield charged 43-year-old Sylvan Atalig Pua with indecent exposure in the second degree and disturbing the peace.

Police said Pua exposed his private parts to a female nurse who was providing health care to his wife at the hospital.

Police said that the defendant suddenly grabbed the nurse’s hand when she was about to leave the patient’s room but she managed to extricate herself and leave the room. Pua then called her name while she was in the hallway; when she turned around, that’s when the defendant allegedly exposed his genitals.

The alleged harassment prompted another nurse and a security officer to escort the victim while performing her duty.

The Superior Court has imposed a $10,000 bail on Pua, who was arrested by operatives pursuant to a warrant.
