Regular shopper wins RSVP kickoff raffle
Frances W. Alfonso lives in San Antonio and regularly drives all the way to Carmen Safeway Supermarket in Chalan Kanoa for her groceries. She has her reasons.
“Every time…my husband [and I] want to shop, we [come] here to Carmen Safeway Supermarket. The quality of merchandise is good, especially the meat. The bakery products too are fresh everyday. And they’re all reasonably priced,” said the 57-year-old Duty Free Shop sales associate at the Saipan International Airport. “You come in here at Carmen Safeway Supermarket and you feel relaxed.”
Her regular shopping gave her more for her money at the recently held Carmen Safeway Supermarket’s Rewards Savings Value Plan (RSVP) kickoff: She won a $100 in-store certificate, which was presented to her last Friday.
“I shopped last Sept. 4. We spent around $200. They gave me raffle coupons, and my RSVP card,” she said.
The Labor Day raffle draw capped Carmen Safeway Supermarket’s RSVP kickoff held from Sept. 2 to Sept. 5. Customers were given a raffle coupon for every $20 purchase. They were also provided RSVP cards that allowed them to earn points for every $10 purchase, and a discount once the 10 slots on the cards have been completed.
The RSVP promo will run until Nov. 30, 2005.
Frances L.G. Borja, Carmen Safeway Enterprises president, said the turnout during the kickoff was good.
“We are happy about it. A lot of customers have started redeeming their RSVP points. They are encouraged by the savings,” said Borja.
Eli Maravilla, Carmen Safeway Supermarket general manager, said they plan to hold similar events for the duration of the RSVP promo.
“We will be coming up with more fun events for all,” he said.
Carmen Safeway Supermarket is the only one of its kind in the CNMI with a U.S.D.A.-approved meat-cutting facility, and bakeshop popular for its French bread, among other bakery products. (PR)
