There’s a new place to unwind and belt out singing talents at a new karaoke bar in Garapan—the Carinosa Karaoke Lounge.

Businesswoman Tetchie Tagorda, the owner of the Tambayan Music Lounge & Restaurant in San Jose, opened up Carinosa on Middle Road, Garapan last Friday.

Tagorda said the opening of the new bar comes from the success of Tambayan, which she put up in early 2003.

While Tambayan provides live band entertainment besides allowing customers to sing their favorite karaoke music, Carinosa concentrates on its karaoke. Both establishments offer free chasers from opening to closing, 6pm to 2am daily.

Tagorda said Carinosa would hold the “Bud-kadahan night” every Thursday, when customers who purchase any of the Bud family of beers could get raffle coupons. Weekly prizes include T-shirts, caps, key chains, and other giveaways.

For this month, she said the grand raffle would be on Sept. 29, with $500-cash as grand prize.

Tagorda said Carinosa could also be reserved for private parties. (John Ravelo)
