DES PTA hails ’05-‘06 set of officers
The Parent-Teacher Association of Dandan Elementary School congratulates its 2005-2006 officers.
On Sept. 6, 2005 the DES parents and teachers unanimously elected this year’s officers and have agreed to retain four officers.
DES PTA’s returning officers include Rep. Ben Seman, president; Rep. Joseph DL Guerrero, vice president; and Shawn Davis, treasurer. Its newly-elected secretary, meanwhile, is Viola DLGuerrero.
Principal Jonas M. Barcinas told the PTA members that he will continue to work hand in hand with the officers in the effort to improving the school and student learning. Barcinas also said that because the officers are all parents, he will then select two teacher representatives, one from the lower and upper grade to assist in the leadership.
“The administration and staff of the school are grateful having to have worked with such open-minded and productive officers by helping meet the critical need of the school in every way possible. Their diligence, team effort, and effective leadership are well commanded,” said Barcinas.
He added, “the school leadership looks forward to working closely with our PTA officers and the rest of the DES parents to helping make this school year just as successful as the one last school year. The school extends their utmost appreciation to the entire DES parents for their continued support in their children’s learning and the school improvement process.” (PR)
