MONEY STOLEN FROM POKER ESTABLISHMENT

Some $1,399 in cash was stolen from a Chalan Kanoa poker establishment, the Attorney General’s Office said.

In a criminal case it filed with the Superior Court this week, the AGO said the money was stolen from the J & W Poker last May 24.

MAN IN HOW WATER FOR STEALING BEER

A man is now in hot water for allegedly stealing beer and other merchandise from a Dandan store sometime last month.

The Attorney General’s Office charged Ricardo N. Omisong, a 41-year-old Kagman resident, with theft.

In the charging document, CNMI chief prosecutor Jeffrey Moots told the Superior Court that Omisong stole two cans of beer, a bottle of wine, and a kitchen knife from the Hi Mart in Dandan. (John Ravelo)

MAN TRESPASSES INTO LIB DAY CARNIVAL GROUNDS

Who says a man is absolutely free to step into the Liberation Day’s carnival grounds?

The Attorney General’s Office disagreed on absolute freedom, accusing a man with trespassing into the carnival grounds two days before the last Liberation Day.

CNMI chief prosecutor Jeffrey Moots lodged the charge against Ignacio Matsutaro, a 45-year-old Garapan resident.

Moots said Matsutaro “unlawfully returned” to the carnival grounds and refused to leave promptly, after being “lawfully instructed” by a police officer, Regino Celis, to leave the premises. (John Ravelo)
