Hyatt Regency Saipan and Karidat have teamed up for this year’s “Toys for Tots” toy drive, which will benefit the children under Karidat’s shelter.

On Dec. 1, 2011, Hyatt announced the “Toys for Tots” toy drive and was overwhelmingly supported by its associates. All the gifts to be presented during this first annual event are all from Hyatt employees’ generosity. During last year’s toy drive, Hyatt and its associates exemplified the true essence of the holiday season and gave 60 children Christmas presents. This season of giving, the toy drive will bring joy to around 70 children, ranging in age from a few months up to 17 years old.

Ranging from big to small, simple to extravagant, the company is assured that these gifts will help send this season’s true message: giving.

Today, Dec. 21, employees will present the collected gifts to Karidat during an event at Hyatt Regency Saipan’s lobby at 2pm.

“It is our team’s goal to thrive within the community we are a part of and when you bring joy these children, we are certainly one step closer to achieving that,” said Hyatt general manager Nick Nishikawa.

Under the Hyatt Thrive initiative, associates are empowered to make meaningful contributions in their local communities. To learn more about Hyatt Corporate Responsibility programs, visit hyattthrive.com. (Hyatt)
