NMTI to host free seminar on becoming a skilled tradesman

The Northern Marianas Trades Institute will be holding a free seminar at its campus on how to become a skilled tradesman. The seminar will be on Dec. 27, 2011, from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.

All current students, high school students, prospective students, government workers, retirees, and any other individuals, male and female, are encouraged to attend. Learn how easy and quickly you can become a certified tradesman. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.

At the seminar, attending students will talk about their experiences. “Learn about the opportunities awaiting you. Many employers are in need of your skill. We can assist you in obtaining a job while attending courses,” an institute statement said.

Beginning January 2012, NMTI will be offering courses in the following: core curriculum, carpentry, plumbing, electricity, painting, masonry, heavy equipment operations, welding, air-conditioning, basic auto theory, culinary arts, and hotel and restaurant management.
