The Saipan team was made up of Saipan Billiard Association members Rolly Villanueva, Patrick Taitano, and Chester Cuento. The team was presented with individual trophies and a cash prize of $120.

Team Guam was comprised of Guam Budweiser League members George Basile, Phillip Tam, and Victor Ryan Sr. The trio was given consolation runner-up trophies.

The tournament was formatted with six rounds of singles play ending with a partner’s tiebreaker finale, if needed. This is the first year of the event.

Team Guam actually started out very strong with three straight singles match victories.

Tam defeated Cuento, Ryan bested SBA’s 2011 Aginan division most valuable player Villanueva, and Basile handled SBA’s Obyan MVP Taitano, but Saipan rallied and surged ahead, 6-3, in the next two sets of singles play.

Cuento topped Basile and then Ryan, Villanueva defeated Tam and Basile, and Taitano took down Ryan and Tam to turn the tables.

Then in the fourth set, Cuento and Villanueva pulled out hat tricks over Tam and Ryan, respectively, that shifted the score to 8-4 and a match later Villanueva sealed the deal over Tam.
