Do you enjoy the waters surrounding the CNMI? Do you have an interest in the marine life living in our waters? Well, here’s an opportunity to learn more about them.

This summer, from June 10 through July 29, Division of Environmental Quality’s marine biologist Peter Houk will be offering a course sanctioned through the Northern Marianas College–Natural Resources Management (NMC NRM) degree program entitled NR 290 01 “Coral Ecology and Taxonomy”.

This will be a 2-credit course that meets every Friday from 9 to 11:30am, with labs every third Saturday from 8am to 12 noon.
In order to register you will need to contact Dr. Diana Greenough and apply at NMC.

Credits that you earn are most likely transferable to other four-year degree programs that people may be enrolled in.

“It is our hope that this course serves as a springboard for further interest and pursuit of a NRM degree through the college!” Houk said.

If you have any questions, you may call Houk at 664-8504.
