Though the regular season of the Saipan Little League Baseball Association is rapidly coming to a close, organizers are far from calling it quits in 2005.

The end of the season left some questions unanswered, as teams will have to settle the final seedings for the playoffs due to identical records, organizers have to plan the postseason schedule, and players of the Saipan All-Star teams for the Major, Junior, Senior, and Big Leagues are yet to be selected.

In order to address these issues, the SLLBA will be holding a general membership meeting this Friday, May 13, in the conference room of the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium at 6pm.

According to SLLBA vice president Jess Wabol, the meeting is mandatory for all coaches, managers, or team representatives from all teams.

Aside from the planning the immediate future of this season’s build up to the Little League World Series, SLLBA officials will join their local government counterparts in this morning’s change of hands of the Capitol Hill Junior League Baseball Field from the Department of Public Works to the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs at 10am. Following the change over will be the unveiling of the plans for the continued development of the site.
