Saipan would have a dose of blues this Friday the 13th, perking up the night at the AJ’s Restaurant along Beach Road.

KRNM, the public, non-commercial radio station located at Northern Marianas College, is sponsoring the blues concert on May 13th. The free concert is slated to start at 8pm.

KRNM general manager Carl Pogue said at least three members of the Micronesian Blues Society would fly up from Guam just for the show. He said some local musicians from the CNMI would most likely join the visiting blues artists with a few numbers.

He is inviting the public to come and see this once in a lifetime musical extravaganza. He is encouraging all blues music enthusiasts to jam with the visiting blues musicians from Guam.

This is a free concert, said Pogue, but the station will gladly accept donations, especially from listeners who did not get around to contributing during the recent Spring Pledge Drive.

He said all donations received during the show would help fund the station’s programming costs that would include the National Public Radio dues, as well as satellite fees.
