Manalo honored twice over

The 8th Saipan and Northern Islands Municipal Council has adopted a resolution congratulating Ivan Aguon Manalo for being the Marianas Visitors Authority’s First Quarter Hafa Adai Hospitality Award recipient.

Manalo is a Quarantine Inspector with the Division of Agriculture, Department of Lands and Natural Resources.

The MVA recognizes and awards on a quarterly basis individuals from the Division of Customs, Immigration and Quarantine who go the extra mile to welcome visitors in a hospitable and professional manner.

For his excellent exhibition of these qualities, Manalo received a check from the MVA and gift certificate from Pacific Islands Club Saipan, Duty Free Shoppers and Saipan Grand Hotel.

Manalo attended William S. Reyes Elementary School and graduated at Canby Union High School. He began working for the Commonwealth Ports Authority (Airport) with its firefighter rescue division, March 1990-July 1998; Commonwealth Ports Authority (Seaport) as vessel controller, July 1998-September 1998; FAS Moving as equipment operator, January 2000-March 2000; APS Co./LTD as technician collector, September 2000-November 2000; quarantine inspector, Division of Agriculture, Department of Lands and Natural Resources, October 2001-present.

The resolution was certified by municipal council chair Gregorio V. Deleon Guerrero and vice chair David A. Indalecio and attested by secretary Antonia M. Tudela.
