Have a ‘Butta Pasta’ at the Hyatt
Creating our own salad is no longer new. We’ve become old hands at tossing our favorite veggies and garnishing them with select ingredients and our favorite salad dressing, but have you heard of choosing your own ingredients and the sauce of your choice for your spaghetti?
Introducing “Butta Pasta” at Giovanni’s Restaurant in Hyatt Regency Saipan. This is the live pasta station where dine-in customers can have the fun and the adventure of choosing their pasta and the ingredients they would want to go with the sauce of their choice.
Giovanni’s team leader Seiji Shindo said that with the variety of ingredients they serve, guests can now pick which ones they like and a chef will mix and cook the sauce right in front of them.
This live-pasta setup is part of the Hyatt’s promotion every last Friday of the month. Formerly called Friday Lunch, Giovanni’s thought that the new name is more appealing.
“Butta Pasta” means fantastic pasta, said restaurant manager James Hopkins.
He said that every last Friday of the month, they will also serve four variety of iced tea to complement the luscious menu they serve. Iced tea flavors will include green tea, peppermint, Ceylon and apple-Ceylon, and chamomile.
Shindo said that the pasta sauces go through the talent and expertise of Giovanni’s very own Chef de Parti, Roy Florencio, who has been with Giovanni’s for almost 15 years now.
“Butta Pasta” came about as Giovannie’s response to what customers really want to eat when they visit the restaurant, according to Hyatt’s assistant director of Food and Beverage Daryl Thong. They based their selection of the ingredients from the feedback their dine-in customers provided them.
Giovanni’s would also like to inform great food lovers that they serve not just pasta during “Butta Pasta” day. They also have their regular pizza station, cheese board, and the ice cream station. “Butta Pasta” is served every last Friday of the month from 11:30am to 2pm.
