Tinian honors govt employees of the year
The 2004 Outstanding Government Employees on Tinian were recently recognized in a presentation ceremony that was headlined by Lillian C. Cepeda of the Tinian Health Center as the Overall Employee of the Year.
The ceremony, held at the Tinian Dynasty Hotel’s Broadway Restaurant, also recognized Lydia C. King of the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. as Overall Supervisor of the Year.
Other awardees include:
* Mayor’s Office: Edwina Fakir
* 10th Tinian Municipal Council: Jamie Sanchez Barcinas
* Department of Community and Cultural Affairs: Jackie King
* Tinian Health Center: Lillian Cepeda
* Department of Public Safety: Officer Christopher Pascua
* Attorney General’s Office, Division of Immigration: Manuela Cing
* Commonwealth Utilities Corp.: Winston Omar
* Northern Marianas College, Tinian Campus: Allan Salbadica
Personnel Director John Tenorio and Frank Gibson joined Tinian Mayor Francisco M. Borja
Borja spoke of the duty that government employees share in providing public service to the community. “Our efforts are often taken for granted and often not appreciated. This, however, does not mean that we must serve the people with any less dedication,” he added.
