Arts festival poster design sought
The Department of Community and Cultural Affairs’ Commonwealth Council for Arts and Culture is seeking poster designs for the 24th Annual Flame Tree Arts Festival, which is slated for April 15-17, 2005, on Saipan.
Poster design entries must be received by the council in the form of rough drafts no later than 4:30pm on Monday, Feb. 14, 2005. Entries may be any size to the scale of 17 inches by 22 inches in a vertical format. Designs must be submitted in full-color. All two-dimensional media is accepted.
One design will be selected from all entries to be used for informational and promotional material for the festival. The respective artist will need to complete a finished product by Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005. A stipend of $300 will be paid to the selected artist, and the chosen design will be kept as part of the Flame Tree Festival collection.
The Flame Tree Arts Festival is the largest annual arts and crafts festival in Micronesia, featuring live performances and booths for artists to display, sell, and demonstrate traditional crafts and contemporary artwork.
