Power outage on Kiya 4 today

There will be a power outage today, Dec. 22, on Kiya 4 from 8:30am to 1:30pm.

The Commonwealth Utilities Corp.’s Power Division said it is scheduling the power outage on a lateral on Kiya 4 to do replacement and maintenance work.

The outage will affect the following areas: Talaya Avenue, including Marg’s Kitchen, Arabella’s Beauty Shop, Phil Express, all customers on Talaya Avenue northward, all customers west of Sulo Street and all customers west of Bakke Street, including RJ Apartments up toward God’s Victorious Way.

No traffic lights will be affected.

“This interruption is necessary to allow CUC linemen to work on de-energized power lines safely. CUC requests the cooperation and patience from people driving and resident in these areas while the work is completed,” the agency said in a statement.
