Professional wrestlers from Japan, the U.S., and Samoa joined forces to entertain a crowd of 1,000 in The Clash of the Tropical Storm last Dec. 4 at the Kan Pacific Baseball Field.
No less than Japanese pro wrestler Chosyu Rikki led the band of Herculean men in a six-fight card that thrilled and wowed the crowd to high heavens. Not even a slight drizzle dampened the spirits of those who watched, as all went home with fond memories of the event.
A total of four games in only two doubleheaders were completed in the ongoing 2004 Government Basketball League last week, on account of a day off last Wednesday due to Constitution Day. Public School System continued to lead the pack with an immaculate 5-0 mark followed by Department of Labor, Department of Community and Cultural Affairs, and Department of Public Safety I.
The 2nd Annual Taga Tournament of the Saipan Tennis Association also kicked off its singles and mixed doubles competition last Tuesday.
