Top Japan tour wholesalers hold annual meet on Saipan

The Marianas Visitors Authority recently hosted the members of the Japan Marianas Tourism Club at their bi-annual meeting on Nov. 29, 2004 held at the Hyatt Regency Saipan.
The members were also hosted with a welcome dinner and a friendly round of golf as added activities while on Saipan.
The JMTC members consist of presidents and travel managers that meet twice a year with the MVA to address tourism related topics such as seasonal marketing strategies, environmental concerns, and government regulations.
As a result of the JMTC meeting, the MVA has formulated a Group Campaign designed to attract more group travel from Japan to the CNMI. The other issues discussed included visitor arrival projections and the Immigration and Customs procedures at the Saipan International Airport.
This years JMTC participants include Holiday Tours Micronesia, JALPAK, Nippon Travel Agency, Pacific Micronesia Tours, R&C Tours, Japan Airlines, Northwest Airlines, and Continental Airlines.
The following MVA members have contributed to the success of the JMTC meeting (in no particular order): Dai-Ichi Hotel Saipan Beach, Kingfisher Golf Links, Hyatt Regency Saipan, and DFS Saipan.
