Two teenagers are facing charges in court for alleged theft of a vehicle, with one of them being accused of operating the vehicle while intoxicated.

The Attorney General’s Office filed a count each of theft of vehicle against Alan Arceo Castro, 18, and a 17-year-old teenager in two separate cases at the Superior Court.

Rosemond B. Santos, legal intern for the AGO, also charged Castro with driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving, and accidents.

Castro allegedly unlawfully operated the vehicle of one Ricardo B. Castro on Saipan on Aug. 8, 2004.

The charging documents did not specify the relationship, if any, between defendant Castro and the vehicle’s owner. The AGO said defendant Castro operated the vehicle without Ricardo Castro’s permission. (John Ravelo)
