It was a wet and windy morning when members of the Power Golf Club showed up at the Marianas Country Club Saturday eager to challenge not only each other but Mother Nature as well.

Despite poor weather conditions, Bill Limes managed to capture the November Ace of the Month title by shooting a net score of 78. Not far behind was Silent Killer Greg Repeki, who came in with a net score of 79 and walked away with the December plum.

Limes and Repeki were at the right place and at the right time: with other players struggling and seemingly inconsistent due to the horrible weather conditions.

In the closest to the pin contest, Big Boy Edwin Taitano had no problems putting it real close to about a foot or less, nearly making a hole-in-one at the par-three Hole No. 3. On the 15th hole, Sasaki Oliver managed to spin it back within Tony Norita’s marker to claim victory.

Power Golf will be having its Ace of Aces Championship Tournament at the Kingfisher Golf Links two Saturdays from now on Dec. 11. Tee off time is scheduled at 7:30am but players are requested to show up 30 minutes earlier for pairings and registration.

A practice round for the tournament is scheduled this Saturday, Dec.4, beginning at 8am. Members are encouraged to participate in the event.

Members that qualified for the Ace of Aces Championship Tournament are monthly winners Tony Norita (January), Patrick Taitano (February), Greg Gamboa (March), Edwin Taitano (April), Ben Norita (May), Sasaki Oliver (May), Edward Kapileo (July), Mr. Lee (August), Joey Alcaraz (September), Mr. Kim (October), Limes (November), and Repeki (December).
