Lady bowler Diane Camacho finished 19th overall en route to winning the women’s division of the November Pepsi King of the Lanes Tenpin Bowling Tournament held last Sunday and Monday at the Saipan Bowling Center.

Camacho rolled a four-game series total of 760 pinfalls, good to give her an average of 190 per game Monday. The veteran kegler fired a 222 in her first time up, hit bottom with a 154 in her second but rebounded with a 212 her next time up. She wrapped up her stint with a 172.

Michelle Bondoc settled for second place after the first-day leader saw her 683 total bowled over by Camacho. Bondoc was pretty consistent on the wood and maple lanes of the SBC, firing a 174, 169, 172, and 168 in four games to norm a respectable 170.75.

Emi T. Williams was three pins behind Bondoc and finished third among the ladies. The woman with the most tournament wins this year came up with 680 pinfalls or a 170 average after rolling a series of 155, 177, 176, and 172.

Lucy Guerrero and Lynn Teregeyo wrap up the Top 5 in the division after submitting scores of 672 (168 average) and 669 (167.25), respectively. Guerrero bowled a 185, 148, 142, and 197 on Monday, while Teregeyo rolled a 132, 163, 227, and 141 also Monday. The 227 Teregeyo rolled in the third game incidentally was a division high.

The rest of the Top 10 in the ladies division, with their scores in parenthesis, were as follows: Elena Soll (642); Linda Yarobwemal (620); Carol A. McKenzie (605); Lala Taitano (603); and Ron Cal (587).

The November Pepsi King of the Lanes Tournament attracted a total of 74 entries. The monthly bowling competition is organized by the Saipan Bowling Association and is sponsored by Pacific Trading Co. It will culminate with a season-ending championship tournament in January.
