ENTICER RACE TOMORROW

The Northern Mariana Islands Triathlon Federation is offering an abbreviated triathlon event aimed at getting people off of the couch and into the saddle tomorrow, Nov. 6

Dubbed as an Enticer Triathlon, it will have participants negotiate a 200-meter swim in the pool, a roughly 6-kilometer ride on a bike, and a 1km run.

Registration for the Enticer Triathlon will begin at 7:30am at the Kan-Pacific Swimming Pool in Marpi, followed by an 8am start. It is recommended that racers plan to get there by 7am in order to set up their bikes, gear, and have a small warm-up.

The cost to enter is $5 for NMITF members and $10 for non-members. The annual fee to become a member of the NMITF is $25.

NMITA FALLS CLASSIC SERVES UP NOV. 11

The Northern Mariana Islands Tennis Association will host the 2004 Fall Classic Tennis Championships on Nov. 11-14 at the American Memorial Park tennis courts.

The tournament has a total of 12 singles and doubles divisions for both boys and girls 18 years old and under.

Entry fee is $10 for singles play and $5 per person in the doubles category. Checks should be made payable to NMITA. Entry fees and entry forms should be submitted to Las Vegas Discount Golf & Tennis.

Deadline for submission of all entries and entry fee is this Sunday, Nov. 7 at 4pm.

Tournament draws will be posted at the Las Vegas Discount Golf & Tennis and American Memorial Park bulletin board starting Wednesday, Nov. 10.

JUNIOR GOLF TOURNEY NEXT MONTH

The Northern Marianas Junior Golf League, in cooperation with the Guam Junior Golf League and the Shich Su Yin Scholarship, will be hold the Shieh Su Ying Junior Golf Championship on Nov. 27 at the Laolao Bay Golf Resort.

The tournament is open to all junior golfers of the CNMI and Guam between the ages of 7 years old and 18 years old.

Application forms are available at the Laolao Bay Golf Resort, Coral Ocean Point Golf Resort, and at the Law Office of Edward Manibusan in Fina Sisu.

Entry fee is $15 for 7-10-year-olds and $30 for 11-18-year-olds. Deadline for submission of entries is Nov. 13.

PIC THANKSGIVING SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT SET

The 11th Annual PIC Thanksgiving Softball Tournament is returning to the Oleai Sports Complex on Thursday, Nov. 18, through Sunday, Nov. 21.

The games of the slow-pitch double-elimination tournament will be held during the evening Thursday and Friday and then moves to morning games Saturday and Sunday.

The entry fee for the four-day tournament is $150 per team, with full payment and the list of all players (20 players max) to be submitted no later than Nov. 15.
