My information comes from research
A gentleman from a city (Bakersfield) which is in close proximity to where I reside in California recently posed a question in his letter to the editor regarding who was providing the information for the articles and letters that I have submitted to the media. He went on to ask, “Aren’t the citizens of the island aware of how much damage [Camacho’s] writing caused them?”
With respect to where the information for my articles and letters comes from, I believe it is important to provide clarification as to the sources I have utilized for the articles and letters composed and submitted to the media. The sources that I have utilized come from surfing the Internet, public records from the Office of the Public Auditor and Finance Department of the CNMI government. In addition, I have utilized Bank of Hawaii economic reports, as well as the information from media stories stored in the archives of the Saipan Tribune. The information that I have utilized can be verified as being “accurate” and “reflecting the truth” and I invite Mr. Buddy Petersen to show where I have not provided “true and accurate” information from the abovementioned sources.
As far as the damage my writing has caused them, I cannot understand how any dialogue reflecting “the truth” could inflict any damage on anyone or anything in the island community. If Mr. Buddy Petersen could extrapolate and be more definitive in terms of the type and extent of damage my articles and letters are responsible for, I will then move to make some adjustments to mitigate any future damage on the entire island community.
If Mr. Petersen is not able to be specific in terms of showing the damage caused, then I will have no other recourse then to say that this assessment of my writing causing damage is nothing more than “pure emotion” without any substantive reasoning.
