How to access Verizon’s Reload feature for prepaid cellular users
Are you using a prepaid cellular phone and are always running out of minutes? Wish you could share minutes with others? Verizon introduces a new feature called RELOAD. With the new Reload feature, prepaid cellular users can transfer 100 minutes or they could forward the remainder of the account balance of local airtime to other Verizon prepaid cellular users.
This quick and easy feature allows users to pass minutes to other prepaid cellular phones. Just type in *88 and then listen for the instructions on how to send your minutes. To avail of the Reload feature, the instructions will ask you to press 4 and then enter your four-digit pin number. This pin number could be used for future Reload options so it is a good idea to remember this number. Immediately after, type in the area code and then the cell number that you wish to transfer the minutes to. You will then be asked if you would like to transfer 100 minutes or if your wish to transfer the entire balance of your account. After you have made your selection, the receiver will receive the Reload instantly.
Russ Quinn, the marketing manager, states: “Verizon is always looking for innovative ways to increase customer satisfaction. We enjoy being the first to bring practical applications to the market place. Reload offers a new convenience of our customers and it is an alternative way to gain minutes.”
He said that in the future, the Verizon prepaid and long distance cards will be available online so that Verizon customers can purchase the various cards from the comfort of their own homes. “This way, we will be able to reach more of our customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” said Quinn.
Hans Mickelson, the product manager, also states that Verizon cellular users can call their friends or family members and ask for minutes to be transferred to their cellular phones. “Sometimes prepaid cellular phone owners run out of airtime and need minutes right away for important phone calls. However, they sometimes don’t have the option of purchasing a prepaid card immediately. This way, minutes can be forwarded to them in an instant,” said Mickelson.
This has been a very busy month for the cellular division at Verizon. They recently launched their new FREE Long Distance Rates. Customers can now call the United States, Canada, China, Korea, Australia and Hong Kong at no extra cost. They just pay local airtime rates.
