Clarification

Contrary to the “information” provided by Kathy Perez in yesterday’s Letter to the Editor column, all preliminary documents requested by MPLA from Azmar were stamped “Received” by that office quite some time ago. The need for this supplemental body of information was necessitated by Azmar acknowledging MPLA’s request to move from an Arizona-based corporation to a CNMI-based corporation—a move that has now been accomplished. We apologize for any additional delays or misunderstandings this transition may have caused. As one who has endured the rigors of MPLA’s scrutiny, your readers can be assured that although the board is presently working out their internal differences, they have only the best interest of the indigenous peoples of the CNMI at heart.
