SSHS PTA MEETING TODAY

This is to inform all parents and the general community that Saipan Southern High School will have a Parents Teachers Association meeting today, Oct. 7, at 6:30pm in the schools cafeteria. All parents are encouraged to join them for this meeting. Very important issues will be discussed.

OES PTSA MEETING ON OCT. 12

The acting principal of Oleai Elementary School would like to inform the parents and guardians of Oleai Elementary School that the Parents Teachers Students Association meeting will be on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004, 6pm in the school cafeteria. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

HOUSE OF MANHOBEN OPENS REGISTRATION

The House of Manhoben Center is open for registration in the following areas: tutoring, mentoring and other sports team areas. Children from ages 5 to 18 who may need assistance with their school work, guidance or who doesn’t have the chance to participate in sports team at school are encouraged to participate.

Registration days and time are from Monday-Friday 2:30pm-5:30pm at the House of Manhoben Center in Chalan Kanoa. Parents or guardians are asked to provide prove of birth (birth certificate/passport) upon registering their child(ren).

KAGES PTA MEETING SET

All parents and legal guardians are being informed that there will be a Parents Teachers Association meeting at Kagman Elementary School on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004 at 6:30pm in the school cafeteria. TANAPAG FIESTA ON OCT. 10

Father Nonoy Recaido Jr., the Parish Pastoral Council, and the parishioners of Nuestra Senoras Bithen delos Remedios (Tanapag) is inviting all the people of Saipan to join them in celebrating their annual Patronal Fiesta on Oct. 10, 2004, Sunday at 9am.

After the Mass, procession will follow and immediately after the procession, lunch will be served.

VETERANS DAY MEETING RESCHEDULED

We would like to remind and invite all concerned and interested parties that the Office of the Military and Veterans Affairs will meet starting Oct. 14, 2004 at 3pm for the upcoming Veterans Day celebration. Meetings will be held every Thursday at 3pm at the Office of the Military and Veterans Affairs on Capital Hill, Bldg. #1364. All are welcome. OWWA SETS TRAINING ON FOOD HANDLING, CULINARY ARTS

The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, in conjunction with the Dai-Ichi Hotel Saipan Beach, is sponsoring a training on Basic Food Handling and Culinary Arts on Oct. 10, 17, 24, and 31, 2004, 1pm to 5pm, at the Filipino Workers Resource Center of the Nauru building in Susupe.

Interested members of the Filipino community are requested to register at the OWWA office, ground floor, Nauru building no later than Oct. 6, 2004. The training shall be limited to 30 participants only, hence registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

OPA WORKSHOP RESET

The Office of the Public Auditor would like to announce that the Government Accounting Training Workshop scheduled for Sept. 29 through Oct. 1, 2004, has been postponed.

The new schedule for the workshop will be Oct. 18 through 20, 2004. OPA will contact all participants and provide notice of venue.
