‘See My Marianas’ campaign to appeal to 5 senses
Entitled “See My Marianas,” the 2005 campaign introduced by the Marianas Visitors Authority aims to appeal to the five human senses: taste, feel, hear, smell, and see.
The See My Marianas Campaign highlights local events targeting market segments in sports tourism, gourmet cuisine and entertainment, and health and spa. The MVA will focus its efforts to support PR events aimed at increasing awareness of local events to the traveling public in all markets.
In fiscal year 2003 the MVA received over $16 million in free publicity abroad. The free publicity was made possible through the Mariana Islands representation at PR events abroad, sponsorship of media familiarization tours, and special interest media coverage.
MVA accomplished this through collaborative efforts with its members in the private business sector.
MVA will build upon its current database of media groups and continue to participate in PR events in major markets to receive even greater publicity and recognition for the See My Marianas Campaign in 2005.
“The key to gaining greater awareness of the See My Marianas Campaign would be through exposure and MVA will continue to aggressively promote the Mariana Islands through representation at PR events and free publicity,” said MVA managing director Vicky Benavente. “We are grateful to our members in the private business sector who have greatly supported our promotional efforts. Through their continued support, we aim to increase exposure of our local event in sports tourism, gourmet cuisine and entertainment, and the health and spa market segments.”
