Corporate Challenge dares govt, business groups to participate
The Saipan Chamber of Commerce is inviting all businesses and government agencies on the island to sign up for the Corporate Challenge that will be held on Oct. 3, a Sunday.
“Come and join the fun as local teams compete in games that include an obstacle course, an egg toss, and fear-factor eating contest. Fellow employees, family members, and the public are invited to cheer on their favorite team,” said the chamber in a statement.
Prizes will be awarded to teams that have the best times in each game, and a special prize will be given to the team that has the best-decorated tent, following the day’s theme of “Patriotism.”
To register one’s team, call the chamber at 233-7150. Cost for a team to participate in the Corporate Challenge is $275. Set-up time for the games is 9am. The games start at 10am and will continue through the afternoon.
This annual event raises funds for the chamber’s scholarship fund, which each year helps local deserving CNMI students further their education. Last year the chamber raised over $4,000 that was used to help local students with their education.
The Saipan Chamber of Commerce is the largest private business organization in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Through business leadership and membership involvement in community issues, the chamber said it continues to develop its role “as a beacon for good business” in these islands, the Pacific region, and in business communities abroad.
