2 men nabbed for multiple burglary and theft cases
Police arrested two young men who allegedly burglarized and stole valuables from several homes in Garapan and Navy Hill, conspiring with underaged boys.
Eric Fitial Santos and Martin Tiamson, both aged 18, fell to the hands of authorities, who secured a court warrant for their arrests. Police collared the two defendants in Garapan Friday.
Investigation conducted by police detective George F. David revealed that the two defendants, along with the juveniles, burglarized and stole properties from at least four homes on separate occasions.
Police traced the identities of the suspects after one of the victims, Larry Guerrero Jr. of Navy Hill, discovered his son’s missing Play Station and game cartridges at the Pink Pawnshop on Middle Road.
Lawmen eventually identified one of the juvenile suspects, who admitted to his involvement in a series of burglary and theft incidents and squealed the identities of his alleged cohorts.
Among the valuables allegedly stolen by the group were a camera, laptop computer and VCR player. Based on the investigation, the group disposed of these stolen items by selling them at prices lower than their market value.
The Attorney General’s Office is preparing formal criminal charges against the suspects.
