Mallards to hold open house today

Garapan Elementary School wishes to inform all parents that an open house will be held today, August 5, in conjunction with the first parents-teachers association meeting of the new school year.

The open house will from 5-6pm. The PTA meeting will start at 6pm in the cafeteria.

Additionally, all parents must be aware that children who received free meals last year are pre-approved to receive free meals for the first 30 days of the 2004-2005 school year.

Also as a reminder, GES hours are from 7:30am to 2:20pm. Parents are requested to please ensure that their children arrive at school between 7am and 7:30am. If he or she is not a bus rider, parents are advised to pick up their children before 3pm.

St. Remedios Early Childhood Development Center School opening

The St. Remedios Early Childhood Development Center School has announced its opening dates.

Children 3 years old will have their first day of school on Wednesday, Aug. 18. School for 4-year-olds will begin the next day, Thursday, Aug. 19, while 5-year-olds will have their opening on Friday, Aug. 20.

On August 23, Monday, all students of St. Remedios will all come to school. Students should come to school before 7:30am and parents are requested to pick up theirchildren no later than noon.

English placement test dates out

The Northern Marianas College has scheduled an English Placement Test today, Aug. 5, at Room D-1, from 5:30pm to 8:30pm

Those who will take the exam are advised to bring the following: A valid photo ID, pencils, proof of payment or receipt of either the placement testing fee ($25) or NMC application fee.
