As a result of the many applicants for the Anger Management Program, the Community Guidance Center opened a new program especially for women victims and offenders.

According to Henry Cabrera from CGC, the recent article about the program, which appeared in the July 31 issue of the Saipan Tribune, resulted in a number of interested participants from the community, mainly women.

“We usually get [clients] from the court, but since the article we have women calling in to register,” said Cabrera.

The program will cover similar topics during the eight-week session. Participants will be introduced to the program and the consultants conducting the session. They will participate in discussions on understanding power and control, physical violence, communications, jealously and anger.

The program will be conducted in the Community Guidance conference room on Sept. 8 through Oct.27 from 11:30am to 1pm. For more information contact the Community Guidance Center’s main office at 323-6560 or 323-6561. (Cassie DLG Fejeran)
