NMC offers discount to govt employees

To help government employees with their education and training needs, the Northern Marianas College will be providing a 50-percent tuition discount to all qualified candidates.

According to Reina Camacho, assistant to the college president, the Government Employees Professional Development Assistance Program was implemented last year and is now being availed of by government employees.

“The program aims to encourage CNMI residents to further their education,” said Camacho.

Employees of the CNMI government interested in availing of the program must have proof of ineligibility to receive CNMI scholarship grant and federal financial assistance.

The program benefits are applicable to regular NMC courses only. Community program courses and outreach programs do not apply.

All interested individuals must pay for all applicable institutional and course fees as listed on the registration form. Payments must be made in accordance with the college office policies.

The last day for take advantage of the GEPDAP will be on the last day of add-and-drop of every semester.
