Basic supervisor training on Tinian
TINIAN—Some 24 participants who attended the basic supervisor training here graduated last June 25, Friday.
The basic supervisor training is a five-day program led by Joe Pangelinan and David Del Rosario, who are the instructors of the training program.
From June 21 to 25, the two instructed participants on equality among employees, prevention of sexual harassment, and other numerous responsibilities a supervisor holds. The participants had to score a minimum score of 70 percent on their post-assessment test to meet the qualifications to pass.
The basic supervisor training is provided for the people of Tinian once a year or whenever training is needed on Tinian. Other types of training are also conducted such as timekeeper certification, effective public services, and training for new employees.
“This training is very beneficial for all supervisors. We apply the skills we learned to the subordinates. This [training] will educate us to be fair to the employees,” said James Manglona of the Tinian Municipal Gym.
The group thanked Tinian Mayor Francisco M. Borja for persuading them to attend the basic supervisor training. (Lina Evangelista)
