Marianas Cup returns this Saturday

After winning the qualifier, Team No Ka Oi will be representing Saipan, as teams from Tinian, Rota and Guam come to compete in the 2nd Annual Miller Lite Marianas Softball Cup to determine the best softball team in the Marianas.
Miller Lite will be hosting the one-day event that is set to kick off tomorrow, June 26 at Koblerville softball field. The first game features an all-star team from Rota and the No Ka Oi at 11am. The next game will showcase the best of Tinian against a strong squad from Guam.
Unlike other events that have been spoiled by the rash of foul weather that has besieged the island, the Marianas Cup will not be cancelled or delayed.
“Rain or shine we are going to play,” said tournament director Bob Guerrero.
This is a double elimination modified coed tournament with games being played every hour on the hour. Spectators are encouraged to come and cheer for their teams.
Immediately following the final game, players, coaches, the media and the public are invited to Minachum Atdao for free food and drinks to celebrate the Marianas Cup. For more info you can call Bob Guererro at 888-0215 or 235-1580.
