Mover has new set of officers

The Multi-Sectoral Overseas Filipino Workers Movement Inc. has chosen a new set of elected and appointed officers and Board of Directors for 2004-2005 during its annual election held last Apr. 11 at Kilili Beach, Susupe.

This year’s new set of officers are Chelita B. Romero, president; Jimmy C. Valenzuela, vice president internal; Emilio B. Manalastas, vice president external; Victoria T. Ladia, secretary; Roselia Salazar, assistant secretary; Athena B. Tobias, treasurer; Leonarda R. Benito, assistant treasurer; Ed Marquez, auditor; Trinidad G. Arellano, business manager; Isabel B. Cabel, Press Relation Officer I; Myrna S. Tawatao, Press Relation Officer II; and marshal’s I, II, III Rosito R. Palad Jr., Potenciano G. Bañaga, and Mario B. Sanciangco.

Board of Directors are chair Segundo S. Lapeceros, Jr. vice chairman Edgardo D. Talabucon, secretary of the Board Gloria O. Ebbay and Board of Director members Eduardo B. Antalan, William G. Bagano, Loreto F. Cabo, Neives C. Casta, Lamberto Delos Reyes, Rodrigo P. Estoque, Jocelyn D. Gabriel, Camilo D. Laoeng, Adolfo M. Lumbad, Ruperto L. Magtapat, Federico V. Parto, and Rene A. Vergara.

Advisers are Jesus A. Rebusada, media and Comelec chairman; Pastor Augusto R. Felia, spiritual adviser and Comelec Committee, Juanita M. Cabo, Comelec Committee, Ruben S. Bachicha, spiritual adviser and past president Bonifacio V. Sagana.

The new officers took their oath last May 29 at the Filipino Workers Resource Center in Nauru Building, conducted by consul general Wilfredo Maximo, in the presence of Consul Wenceslao G. Gayola, Welfare officer May Dait, labor attaché Joan Lourdes Lavilla, EICOT chair Benny K. Pangelinan, Mobil Territorial Manager Jojo H. Dadivas, Bicol president Lito J. Marquez, one of the Mover founder Jimmy O. Blancia, former Kampil president Ono Cambronero, SIP president Tony Soriano and others guest and supporters who recognized this group as the legitimate leaders of this organization.

Mover has been recognized by CNMI government agencies such as Legislature, Division of Environmental Quality, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Philippine government and Consulate for their unselfish efforts to help make the CNMI clean, healthy, beautiful and green.
