BOH, SBA team up for free seminar
Bank of Hawaii and the Small Business Administration have teamed up to offer a free seminar for small businesses on the island.
The seminar’s speakers include:
• Verna Felipe, vice president and BOH branch manager (“Banking in today’s economic environment”)
• Rose Sumor, BOH business banking officer (“Small Business lending opportunities and advice for CNMI business owners”)
• Larry Claros, BOH cash management officer (“Cash Management Solutions to maximize your profits”)
• Kenneth Lujan, SBA Guam branch manager (“How to Obtain an SBA Loan”)
BOH and SBA will have representatives available at the bank’s Garapan Branch following the seminar on June 3 and all day June 4 during business hours to answer questions and provide additional information regarding loan requests.
“Bank of Hawaii and the Small Business Administration are strong partners and this is an opportunity for both organizations to bring small business owners together and address specific topics that are of interest to the local business community,” said Stephens Brook, BOH vice president and CNMI district manager.
“We will also be highlighting certain new and innovative banking products designed to assist small businesses in today’s economy. We are proud of the fact that we have more business bankers dedicated to taking care of small-business clients than any other financial institution in Saipan,” Brook added.
Seating for the seminar is limited and reservations are requested. Reservations can be made by calling Esther Niedo at 236-8452 before June 1, 2004.
Bank of Hawaii was named SBA’s “Lender of the Year” in 2003 for the state of Hawaii. Headquartered in Honolulu, Hawaii, Bank of Hawaii has operations throughout Hawaii and in Guam, Saipan, Palau, and American Samoa.
