Saipan music groups to hold concerts
Two musical groups, one a band and the other products of a musical school on Saipan, will be holding their respective concerts this month and next.
On Monday, May 24, the Saipan Pacific Winds Concert Band will be holding their 10th Annual Spring Concert. This concert will be held at the Saipan Multi-Purpose Building starting at 7pm. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.
The Saipan Pacific Winds Concert Band is conducted by Will DeWitt who was recently inducted into “Who’s Who In America.”
The concert will feature a variety of music, including music from the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s, movie & Broadway themes, woodwind and brass instrumentals, classical, and others.

On June 5, a Saturday, the Do Re Mi School of Music will be holding its 16th Annual Summer Violin Recital, presented by maestro Ao Zhang. There will be a Soloist, Duet and Group Performances.
Among the music that would be performed are concertos and sonatas by Mozart, Bach, Vivaldi, Accolay, Seitz, Beethoven Handel, Brahms, and many more masterpieces.
The recital would be held at the Place: Hyatt Regency Saipan- Sandcastle on June 5, from 10am to noon. A lunch buffet will follow.
General entrance tickets cost $5. For those who would like to join the buffet that follows, it will cost $15 for adults and $10 for children (under 11 years). Lunch reservations must be made by June 1.
