Jonny’s Bar & Grill’s Sparks are hanging on by a thread to first place of the Saipan Electronic Dart Association’s C Division after absorbing a 6-9 reversal at home against Bammy’s Restaurant & Bar’s DRP (55-50) last Wednesday.

Other 2012 Winter-Summer Bud Light Dart League division frontrunners include Master’s Ali’i Kamote of Es’y Kitchen, A Division’s Mixblood Shooters II of SOS Bar & Grill, Ladies’ Try Luck of Jonny’s, Tuesday B’s 80 Proofers of Sea Bridge, and Inter-Government’s AG’s Sakude, also out of Jonny’s.

The Sparks’ loss last Wednesday dropped its win-loss record to 60-45 and were fortunate not to be surpassed by Island Apparel’s second place Oh MG! (59-46), which also lost, 5-10, against sister team Hafa Mas! (50-55) in a home draw held at Naked Fish Bar & Grill.

In addition, VFW Post 357’s Party Rock (57-48) remains just three games away from the peak despite bearing a 5-10 road loss to Oceanside Bar & Grill’s Shooters V1(55-50), while Oceanside’s Shooters V2 (45-60) edged out 19th Hole Bar’s Hole In One (32-73), 8-7, on the road.

Also on Wednesday, Ali’i Kamote survived Bammy’s Aces (68-51), 9-8, at home to improve its record to 74-45 and now leads erstwhile co runner-up Aces by six games.

VFW’s Maharot Crew (68-51) feasted on its last place D’Companeros (40-79), 12-5, in a home draw and is now knotted on deck with the Aces.

SOS’ Destroyers (58-61) pulled out a 10-7 upset over its sister team All Stars (63-56) in a home draw and SOS’ Mixblood Rookies (60-59) worked up a swift, 14-3, road victory over Bammy’s Sabalu Boyz (45-74).

Back on Monday, April 2, Mixblood Shooters II fell to sister team 101 Proofers (60-59), 9-8, in a home draw, but remains in first place by two games with its overall record of 70 wins and 49 losses.

Bammy’s A-Frontrunner Bud Brothers (68-51) went into Sand’s and hemmed up the Juvy Predators (51-68), 11-6, for second place, while Bammy’s third-ranked Sabalu (64-55) defeated Naked Fish’s Naked Fish Boyz (61-58), 10-7, at home and VFW’s Primos (46-73) upset Bammy’s Celebrity (56-63), 10-7, on the road.

Also on Monday, Try Luck improved its overall card to 78-27 with a 10-5 road win over Naked Fish’s third-ranked Man Amigas (61-44).

It may take more than just a little luck to surpass the defending champs as they now boast a dozen game cushion atop the division.

In other results VFW’s B-52’s (66-39) defeated 19th Hole Bar’s Team Reapers (43-62), 10-5, at home and remain in second place, while Joe’s Just Like Dat (56-49) topped its sister team Daffodils (39-66), 9-6, in a home draw and Bammy’s Momes’l Mei (46-59) defeated SOS’ Daarty Deedz (31-74), 10-5, in a road match.

Last Tuesday, the 80 Proofers absorbed a 7-8 trip up at home in SOS to Joe’s bottom feeder Good Guys II (40-65), but remain at the helm by a couple games with its 65-40 record.

Meanwhile, there is a tie for second place between Na’Gupu Too! and SOS’ Mixblood Shooters III after the former stood up the latter, 8-7, at home in Naked Fish; both teams hold slates of 63 wins and 42 losses.

Jonny’s Star Maharot (51-54) remains in fourth place despite a 7-8 road upset compliments of Jonny’s Dosukebe Boyz (48-57) and Poseidon’s seventh-ranked K-1 Scorpions (44-61) defeated Naked Fish’s Dartaholiks (46-59), 9-6, at home.

Finally, back on Friday, AG’s Sakude escaped Bammy’s second-ranked CUC Power Plant (54-36), 8-7, at home to improve to 59-31. Jonny’s DPS Bad Boyz (34-56) also bagged an 8-7 road win over Naked Fish’s NMC Proa (33-57).
