A teenager who was one of two that broke into a house in Kagman III and stole several items pleaded guilty Wednesday and was ordered to spend four months in prison.

Felix Muna Kileleman, 18, pleaded guilty to criminal mischief as part of a plea deal and was sentenced to a year in prison, all suspended except for four months, with credit for the 16 days he has already served in jail.

Kileleman will start serving his sentence on April 16, 2012. He will then be placed on probation for three years once he gets out.

Superior Court Associate Judge David A. Wiseman required Kileleman to pay restitution for the items taken that were not recovered in an amount to be determined at a later hearing. Kileleman was also directed to pay a $200 fine, $25 court assessment fee, plus probation fee, and to perform 50 hours of community service.

The Office of the Attorney General had charged Kileleman with five counts of criminal conduct, including the pleaded offense of criminal mischief.

According to the plea deal, on Jan. 17, 2012 on Saipan, Kileleman damaged the screen window of the victim’s house when he illegally entered it with the intent to commit theft.

Police arrested Kileleman and John Ilo Jr., 23, two days after the burglary.

Police detective Jeffrey Norita stated in his report that two police officers responded to a residence in Kagman III on Jan. 17, 2012, at 11:06pm, where a burglary had occurred. The house’s owner told officers that a witness saw two persons leaving the place earlier, carrying two duffle bags. She identified them as Ilo and Kileleman.

The two officers later proceeded to Kileleman’s residence in Kagman where they met the two suspects. Upon questioning by the officers, the suspects allegedly confessed they were the ones who burglarized the victim’s house.

A crime scene technician returned some of the recovered items, but still missing at the time were a small bolt cutter, a wedding ring, 10 Gerber knives, and three folding chairs, all valued at $1,510.

Kileleman was represented by attorney Mark Hanson. Assistant attorney general Nicole Driscoll represented the government.

The case against Ilo remains pending.
