Garapan cleanup yields 620 lbs of trash

Sonia Siwa of PDM Promoters disclosed that the group collected a total of 620 lbs of trash.

The group, which holds the monthly cleanup usually every first Saturday of the month, picked up trash along Coral Tree Avenue to the fire station then Beach Road straight up to ABC Store and the Star Sands Plaza area.

“The monthly cleanup is one way to teach them [Awaodori dancers] the value of community service and having a clean environment,” said Siwa.

Siwa thanked the Division of Environmental Quality for providing trash bags and gloves and Dickerson and Quinn for the refreshments of volunteers.
