The students, staff and faculty of the Northern Marianas College are inviting the entire CNMI to celebrate the College’s Charter Day on May 4, 2012, at the As Terlaje campus from 4pm to 10pm.

NMC Charter Day is an annual celebration that commemorates the establishment of the college in 1981. It is one of the largest celebrations in the CNMI.

This year’s event will feature great food and entertainment favorites such as Battle of the Bands and Marianas Idol, as well as new events like the Glee Competition.

There will also be other special performances and contests throughout the evening.

Agencies, businesses, clubs, and other civic organizations are invited to participate by purchasing booth space for the following categories: food/drink, specialty drinks (e.g. coffee coolers or pearl shakes), game booths, retail (arts and crafts, toys, etc.), and information.

The deadline to submit applications for booth spaces is Thursday, May 3, 2012, by 4pm. Booth space is limited so applications should be submitted as soon as possible.

The booth fee is $150 with $25 of the fee refunded to the vendors upon cleanup of booth space post-event and passage of inspection from Charter Day officials. For NMC clubs and nonprofit organizations, booth fees are $75 and also include a $25 refund upon booth space cleanup and passage of inspection.

Applications forms are available for download at www.nmcnet.edu, or can be picked up from the NMC Student Center in Building J. For more information, contact L.J. Castro at 234-5498 ext. 1251/1253 or email luisjohnc@nmcnet.edu. (NMC)
