Pangelinan leads league in batting

As of Sunday, April 14, Jonathan Pangelinan of the San Roque/As Matuis Twins was in the driver’s seat in the Major Little League batting category.
Pangelinan leads the league with a remarkable .733 batting average. He has accumulated 11 hits in 15 at bats, while scoring 2 runs.
Jesse Borja of the Little Sluggers is closely behind Pangelinan with a .652 average. He has gone 15-for-23 at the plate, and leads the league with 20 runs and 8 doubles.
The Hustlers’ Vincent Sablan Jr. is the third most consistent hitter in the league with a .619 average at the plate. He has played an enormous role for the second place Hustlers by going 13-for-21 at the plate. His 6 doubles and 10 runs batted in ranks him second in the league in those respective categories.
Darren Pua of the league-leading Tanapag Braves is also having a solid season with a .571 average. He is also ranked second in the league in the runs category as he has crossed the plate for 16 runs.
Teammate Nunu Kapileo is also having a spectacular season as he leads the league with 4 homeruns and 13 runs batted in. He is also among the league leaders with his.500 batting average.
Kapileo has also been outstanding on the mound as he has accumulated 31 strikeouts.
