Trench Tech Purebred Promotions is proud to announce that its octagon has been repaired and ready to go for Rites Of Passage 12: Unstoppable set for April 20 at the Royal Taga Ballroom of Saipan World Resort.
The tentative fight card features Trench Tech’s first ever bantamweight bout, a France vs. Saipan super fight, a Guam vs. Saipan grudge match, and a finale heavyweight main event.
Meanwhile, Trench Tech featherweight champion Rob “Chamorro Zombie” Wusstig is officially out of the fight card after recently undergoing abdomen surgery.
With his absence, the featherweight title match that initially scheduled for the event will be postponed for later this year.
His opponent Trench Tech’s Fasi “Quick Draw” Jesse (8-4), meanwhile, is still listed late on the card, however his opponent is yet to be determined.
A boxing exhibition at 170 lbs kicks off the action featuring team Zalaka veteran Zac Reyes welcoming a new member from Guam’s Countershot stable, Julius Yangetmai, to the ring for his debut.
Then four K-1 kickboxing matches will take over the cage: Countershot’s Jared “Smiley Face” Santos (0-1) and Zalaka’s Jordan Manglona (0-1) at 120 lbs; Guam Muay Thai’s Jeremy “Pacman” Javellana debuting against Trench Tech’s Tavita Lueta (1-0) at 140 lbs; Guam Muay Thai’s Justin “JD” Dizon (0-1) against Danny Agulto at 140 lbs; and Zeng Zung’s Regino Mundo (4-0) facing K-1 Guahan’s Sonny Chargualaf at 145 lbs.
Following the K-1 montage, five MMA bouts will precede the headliner matchups.
Trench Tech’s Ronald Hermosilla is set to debut against Zogai’s Brandon “Commotion” Camacho (0-1) at 145 lbs; Tinian independent fighter Ton Borja will clash with Trench Tech’s Seong Ho Chung in a double debut at 145 lbs; Countershot’s Aaron Magbuhat (1 win, 1 draw) faces Tinian Zeng Zung’s Pete Cepeda (2-1); Countershot’s Lloyd Cubacub (2-0) is paired up against Trench Tech’s Josh “Chaos” Duenas (2-3) at 135 lbs; and Trench Tech’s Vince “The Clinch” Masga (2-0) will collide with Ryan Toves at 150 lbs.
The France versus Saipan super fight starts off the primetime action as Ground Fu’s Ferrid “The Hurricane” Khedder takes on Trench Tech’s Ning “Bo-Slice” Cepeda (4-2)
Then Zalaka’s Joe Duenas (4-0) faces Trench Tech’s Mark “The Dark” Nuique (7-0) in the first-ever Trench Tech bantamweight title fight followed by a juicy grudge match between Spike 22 Guam’s Rick Camp (3-0) and Marianas Elite’s Vince “Vincesanity” Pua (4-0) at 150 lbs.
After Trench Tech’s first bantamweight champion is crowned Trench Tech’s current featherweight contender Fasi “Quikdraw” Jesse (8-4) is expected to face off-island competition at 145 lbs to set the stage for a heavyweight finale brawl between Trench Tech’s Mylo “Bam Bam” Lassiter (4-1) and Guam’s Pete “Big Mac” Miyasaki (1-0).
In addition, Guam boxer Gianna Sarusal is on standby looking for a new female opponent at 130 lbs. Her teammate is also in search of an opponent at 115 lbs.
