The Santa Remedios Parish Pastoral Council will be holding a fundraising golf tournament this Saturday at the Marianas Country Club.

Proceeds of the event will go toward some important renovations and maintenance repairs to its church, located in Tanapag. Some of the church’s vital improvements include: constructing a chapel in the Tanapag cemetery that provides shelter during outdoor services; renovating the parking lot to increase the spaces available; renovating the front entrance to enable easy access for hearst during funeral services; renovating the front walkway to integrate a portico structure to the church; and landscaping the surrounding area to create a more beautiful ambience.

All local golfers are invited to come out and help support the church.

Tournament fee is only $100 per person and package includes admission to the awards banquet, which will be held immediately after the event. Check-in time is at 6:30am, while tee off is at 7am.

Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded to the Top 3 finishers, while various consolation and raffle prizes will also be given away during the banquet.

Santa Remedios did not put out a fundraising tournament last year, but have done so in the past. This event marks its sixth or seventh fundraiser in recent years.

For more information, or to register, contact tournament coordinator Pete Igitol at 322-7554, PPC President Bill Lieto at 287-9459 or PPC Parish Administrator Art Stoia at 322-7254.
